Two Standing Dead Spruce Trees

Two tall, dead spruce trees had become a significant hazard on the property—one of them having already blown over and come to rest precariously against the other. Their size, position, and decay meant this was far from a straightforward removal. The standing tree was no longer stable, and the fallen one had shifted its weight into it, creating a dangerous lean with unpredictable tension.
Given the risk, a technical removal was the only safe option. Rigging techniques were not used to avoid shock-loading the compromised trunks. Each cut was planned to reduce the chance of sudden failure or unexpected movement, ensuring the safety of both the crew and surrounding structures.
In the end, both hazard trees were removed safely and efficiently, eliminating the threat they posed and restoring peace of mind to the homeowner.
